Tomocube announced on the 11th that it is developing key equipment related to glass substrates, often referred to as the "dream material," and is currently discussing partnerships with five domestic and international companies.

The company is in discussions with multiple global corporations regarding its holotomography inspection equipment (HT-T1) for glass substrates and plans to initiate full-scale customer evaluations this year. Through this process, mass production is expected to begin in 2026.

The HT-T1 technology enables non-destructive, three-dimensional inspection and measurement of Through Glass Via (TGV), which creates tiny electrode pathways to facilitate electrical flow in semiconductor packaging glass substrates. This is considered a core technology in the glass substrate industry.

The HT-T1 offers a range of functions, including measuring the roughness of TGV inner walls, detecting micro-cracks, and precisely identifying missing laser-processed areas. Its applications extend beyond glass display substrates to fields such as extended reality (XR), augmented reality (AR) glasses, and ultra-thin glass.

Tomocube is currently in partnership discussions with domestic companies, including L Company and two other firms, regarding its glass substrate business. Overseas, the company is in talks with K Company and another enterprise. Additionally, in the AR glass sector, Tomocube is discussing potential collaborations with domestic firm L Company and overseas firm M Company.

The company anticipates that entering the glass substrate inspection market with its holotomography technology will become a new growth driver for Tomocube.

A company representative stated, "With high-resolution, three-dimensional, non-destructive inspections and measurements after TGV formation, it is possible to produce high-quality glass substrates. By inspecting the glass before and after TGV creation, we can enhance the quality of glass substrates and reduce defect rates."
